Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
TarloHire is operated by Tarlo LLC ("TarloHire," "we," "us," or "our"), a Texas limited liability company doing business as TarloHire. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to tarlohire.com, the TarloHire web application, and the TarloHire browser extension (collectively, the "Services").
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect

- Career content. Résumés, cover letters, work history, education, skills, work authorization status, and other application materials you upload or enter.
- Search preferences. Job titles, locations, work arrangement preferences, and similar search criteria.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor. See Section 4.
- Communications. Messages you send us, including support requests.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information. Features you use, actions you take, and the dates and times of your activity.
- Technical information. IP address, browser type, device characteristics, and operating system, used to operate and secure the Services.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or demographic information. Please do not include this information in the content you upload.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Services you request, including résumé analysis, job matching, and application materials
- Create and manage your account
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse of the Services
- Respond to your questions and provide support
- Send you service-related messages about your account, plan, or changes to our terms
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the platform
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. AI processing
To provide AI-powered features such as résumé optimization, application materials, and job matching, we process the content you submit using third-party AI service providers.
These providers process your information solely to deliver the requested services on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using your content to train their AI models.
We do not use your content to train our own AI models.
AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all materials before submitting them to any employer.
4. Payment information
Payments for paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details directly. TarloHire does not receive or store your full payment card number.
We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, plan, and the last four digits of your payment method, in order to manage your account.
Your use of Stripe's payment services is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Ownership of your content
You retain ownership of the résumés, cover letters, job application materials, and other content you submit to the Services.
We use this content only to provide the Services you request and to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the platform, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The license you grant us to do so is described in our Terms of Service and terminates when you delete your content or your account.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers we rely on to operate TarloHire, and only as needed for them to perform their function. Each is contractually bound to protect your information.
These service providers include our authentication provider, our payment processor, AI service providers, job listing data providers, and cloud infrastructure providers who supply hosting, database storage, and abuse prevention.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, our company, or the public.
If TarloHire is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any change.
7. Browser extension
The TarloHire browser extension has no standing access to any website. It does nothing until you open it and click "Fill this page," which grants it one-time access to only the current tab (through the browser's activeTab permission). It never runs on its own and cannot read or monitor your general browsing activity.
When you click "Fill this page," the extension reads the application form on the current page in order to identify the fields to complete, and fills them using the profile information and résumé you have saved.
Your profile and résumé are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. The extension does not transmit the contents of the pages you visit to TarloHire's servers.
The extension does not submit applications and takes no action without you initiating it.
We do not sell information collected by the extension, use it for advertising, or transfer it for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
You can remove the extension's access at any time by uninstalling it, which also removes the profile data stored in your browser.
8. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.
You may delete individual résumés and other content at any time from your account settings.
9. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Access and update your account information at any time in your account settings
- Delete individual content or your entire account at any time
- Export your content before deleting your account
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link (we will still send service-related messages necessary to operate your account)
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
To make a request, contact us at privacy@tarlohire.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and rate limiting.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice in the Services or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
